Terry Rallies to Win Mid-Amateur Title as Grady Holds Off Snedeker for Mid-Master Crown at Trans-Miss
Ryan Terry closed with a final-round 67 to win the Mid-Amateur title by five, while Pat Grady held off a late charge from Haymes Snedeker to capture the Mid-Master crown at Lakewood Country Club.
Ryan Terry of Brentwood, Tenn., closed with a 3-under 67, the low round of the day, to win the Mid-Amateur division at the Trans-Miss Mid-Amateur Championship, finishing 10-under 203 at Lakewood Country Club for a five-shot victory. Terry trailed 36-hole leader Cory Chavez by one entering the final round, but a closing 73 dropped Chavez to runner-up at 5-under 208. Alex Resurreccion finished third at even-par 213. In the Mid-Master division, Pat Grady of Westminster, Colo., built his lead over the first two rounds and closed with a 72 to finish 5-under 208, holding off a closing charge from Haymes Snedeker of Daphne, Ala., who shot 69 in the final round to finish one shot back at 4-under 209.
