Overview

The U.S. Women’s Amateur, first held in 1895, is the USGA’s premier women’s amateur championship and one of the oldest golf tournaments in the United States. The combined stroke/match play format rewards both consistency and head-to-head competitive ability, and many past champions have gone on to outstanding LPGA careers. Bandon Dunes hosted the 125th edition in 2025.
