Overview
The U.S. Amateur, held annually since 1895, is the oldest and most prestigious amateur golf championship in the United States. Its alumni list includes Tiger Woods (3 titles), Jack Nicklaus, Bobby Jones, and Arnold Palmer. The 312-player stroke play field is one of the deepest in amateur golf, and the match play bracket tests champions across seven rounds in seven days.
