Junior Solheim Cup Pick Aubrey Hilgers Opens Billy Horschel Atlanta Classic After Fog Pushes Girls Start

Hilgers, ranked No. 22 in the Rolex AJGA Rankings, is one of five top-100 players in the 78-player field at Planterra Club in Peachtree City, Ga., where 54 holes of stroke play run through Sunday. The Surprise, Ariz. native arrives off a win at the 2026 Girls Junior PGA Championship and a T5 at the U.S. Girls' Junior, and was named to Morgan Pressel's U.S. PING Junior Solheim Cup team ahead of the Sept. 7-8 matches at Bernardus Golf in the Netherlands. Fog delayed the girls' opening tee times by 90 minutes.

U.S. Women's Mid-Amateur Opens Tomorrow at Montclair With 132 Players Chasing 64 Match-Play Spots

The 39th championship begins Saturday over Montclair Golf Club's No. 2 and No. 3 nines in West Orange, N.J., with 36 holes of stroke play across Saturday and Sunday before the low 64 advance to match play. Ina Kim-Schaad returns as the sixth player to win multiple U.S. Women's Mid-Amateur titles, and 2025 runner-up Hanley Long is back on the exemption she earned from their 23-hole final. The champion takes a spot in the 2027 U.S. Women's Open at Inverness Club.

U.S. Senior Amateur Begins Saturday at Baltimore CC With McCoy Defending on a 7,181-Yard Par 70

The 71st championship opens on the East Course at Five Farms in Lutherville, Md., which plays to a 75.1 course rating and a 141 slope. All 156 players go 36 holes of stroke play Saturday and Sunday before the low 64 move into single-elimination match play, with the 18-hole final set for Sept. 3. Mike McCoy is exempt as the defending champion and remains the first player to win both a U.S. Mid-Amateur and a U.S. Senior Amateur.
